Alexander,

Question - How come some people in an office will never say good morning or acknowlegde you until you say good morning to them first? I work for the federal government where this happens every morning. I have assumed that these people are just plain arrogant and want the other person to acknowledge them first. Or, these type of people just hate the world and don't want to be bothered. I personally even go the extra mile by saying each person's name when I see them for the first time in the morning, such as "good morning Cathy." However, very few people will make this effort happen on a regular basis if ever. What is wrong with this world? I guess I am just more educated than most people, and understand the importance of making someone feel good about themselves and the environment they work in.

[...] That rocks, David! I previously blogged about saying a friendly good morning, and I still believe it’s one very simple, but sadly overlooked way to make yourself and others happier at work. [...]
