Nicholas: Heh! And can you imagine the outcry if businesses started keeping a public database of every employee they'd ever had with ratings for motivation, performance, customer service, etc..?

Good thing no one's going there!

Jean: And that's why some companies take months to hire people - simply because their employee turnover is so low that they can afford and because they've realized that hiring the right people is crucial!

Devin Reams: We are working on something at the moment that will bring us a step closer to achieving this goal. The site will only work if we get thousands and thousands of reviews - so this is one of our main priorities. We'll keep you updated.

I think that's a great idea. I also agree that some people interview well and don't contribute. But it seems to me a company that gets a great reputation for being a good employer can afford to be choosy. They need to go into depth about a person before they hire. Because part of being a great company is the teamwork between the employees.

I've often thought about making a site like this. Many people I know have experienced the frustration of being hired by a company, only to find out that the polished, professional image was just a facade -- that the company is cut-throat, unfair, and miserable to work for. On the flip side, I've also seen employees that get hired because they interview well, but then rip off a company because they don't work, or they steal from the company, or they feed their bosses BS about why their tasks aren't getting done, etc. So to be fair, companies should have the right to warn other companies of potential dishonest employees as well.

I agree, it's about time we have a one-stop destination for information like this. If Jake is listening, I wonder how Revyr could get into the minds of the millions of workers out there. Is this a lofty goal to tackle?
