I wish I could believe that part about the happiness – maybe I’m just burnt out. I’ve just finished 4 years and three jobs with the worst three supervisors anyone could wish for and I’m beginning to wonder if it’s possible to even enjoy going to work anymore. I absolutely hate working for a living at this point and my dream job is to have no job. Everyone says it’s the economy and I sure hope they’re right – in 35 years of working, I’ve never felt this depressed about earning my way. I don’t think happiness has anything to do with an attitude as much as it has to do with the hope that things will get better, because when that hope is gone, everything is gone. Call me very pessimistic about America’s job opportunities right now.
