  • Our latest CHO Academy was a huge hit

    In June we had our latest Chief Happiness Officer Academy, which is our longest and most intensive training on creating happier workplaces.

    The Academy was completely sold out with 25 participants from 15 countries (and a long waiting list) and it was a huge pleasure to share our tools and methods over three days with such an engaged group.

    The participant feedback has been amazing with an average rating of 9.7 out of 10. Participants wrote:

  • Congratulations to the graduates from our Chief Happiness Officer Academy in NYC

    We just completed our 6th Chief Happiness Officer Academy. This one took place in NYC and had participants from 6 countries. One person even flew in from Tokyo to attend!

    We had a wonderful three days with the group, where we explored the theory and practice of creating happy workplaces.

  • Our latest Academy was a BLAST

    Our latest Happiness at Work Academy  was a HUGE hit. 24 participants came to Copenhagen from 15 countries to learn all about happiness at work – including some from as far away as Australia, Hong Kong, Colombia, USA and Canada.

    We had 4 amazing days with high energy, great conversations and a ton of networking. The group consisted of both internal HR people and leaders looking to make their own workplaces happier as well as external consultants who focus on happiness at work.

    It’s a real treat for us to be able to go much more in depth with the topic than we usually have time for in our speeches and workshops – especially with a group that’s already passionate about the topic and practicing it in real life.

    The next two Academies will take place on:

    • October 17-20 2017 in Copenhagen Denmark
    • February 13-16 in New York City USA

    The Woohoo inc Academy is our most intense and in-dept training. Over 3 days we go over all the theory and practice of happiness at work, ending with an exam and certification. We limit the group size to 25 participants so we have plenty of time for questions and interaction.

  • Happiness all around the world

    Happiness all around the world

    I am back after a 17-day trip to 4 different countries.

    The trip started in Surinam, a small country just north of Brazil. Together with one of our Dutch partners, Gea Peper of The Happiness Bureau, I did a workshop for an HR network.

    Surinam is currently facing an economic crisis, so we focused especially on how to create happiness at work in tough times. We were also guests on a Surinamese TV show called Panorama.

    After that Gea and I flew on to Curacao in the Caribbean where we did another workshop for HR leaders.2016-10-14-16-48-40

    The workshop ended with balloons :) We also did an interview with Dolfijn FM who have their studio right on the beach. Awesome! And of course there was time for a little bit of sightseeing. Curaco used to be a Dutch colony, so the capital Willemstad basically looks like Amsterdam in the Caribbeans.

    From curacao I flew to New York City, where I met up with my awesome coworker Arlette to lead our 4th international Woohoo Inc Academy.

    9 wonderful people from different US companies had signed up for the 3-day Academy and as far as we can tell from their feedback, everyone had a blast and learned a lot. The Academy included a visit to Next Jump, one of the happiest workplaces we know, and some sightseeing, including a guided tour of Grand Central Terminal and a cruise on the East River.

    And following that I flew to Dubai to speak at the 18th Global Women in Leadership Forum, where I did the opening keynote on day 2 and particularly made the point that if we want to create happier workplaces, we need more women in leadership positions.

    And then I flew home. My internal clock is so fried, I’m not even sure I have jetlag at all.

    But I’m also incredibly encouraged to once again have had the chance to spread the gospel of happiness at work in some new countries and to find so many like-minded people all over the world who agree that this is an incredibly important topic that businesses need to act on.

    The Academy is our in-depth 3-day training where we share the latest research and practice for creating happier workplaces.

    The Academy is both for external consultants who want to build a business making their clients’ workplaces happier and for internal change agents (HR staff, managers, facilitators) who want tools to make their own organization happy.
