My speaking gigs

  • Today I did a speech on 50 minutes notice

OK – that’s new. At 8:30 this morning I was in a café going through my tasks and emails, when I got a call from a client asking if I could do a speech for 100 people at their offices at 9:20 the same morning. The speaker they’d booked had called in sick.

To make matters even more interesting, I’ve already spoken to the same group last year, so I couldn’t just do our standard presentation. But who doesn’t love a challenge!

I started to put together some slides that fit their current situation then got on my bike and rode over. While their leaders presented I sat in the back of the room and finished my slides just in time.

And even if this is the least notice we’ve ever had, I do believe I rocked.

  • Leading with Happiness – my speech from the World Happiness Summit in Miami

At the World Happiness Summit in Miami I gave a 15-minute speech on Leading with Happiness – the same topic I’m covering in my next book.

In the video I share what’s wrong with traditional leadership and its relentless focus on business results and give some great examples of leader who create more happiness for themselves, their employees, their customers and the world.

  • Our latest Academy was a BLAST

Our latest Happiness at Work Academy  was a HUGE hit. 24 participants came to Copenhagen from 15 countries to learn all about happiness at work – including some from as far away as Australia, Hong Kong, Colombia, USA and Canada.

We had 4 amazing days with high energy, great conversations and a ton of networking. The group consisted of both internal HR people and leaders looking to make their own workplaces happier as well as external consultants who focus on happiness at work.

It’s a real treat for us to be able to go much more in depth with the topic than we usually have time for in our speeches and workshops – especially with a group that’s already passionate about the topic and practicing it in real life.

The next two Academies will take place on:

    • October 17-20 2017 in Copenhagen Denmark
    • February 13-16 in New York City USA

Read all about them and sign up here.

Here are some of my favorite pics from this Academy:

  • Another happy client

Woohoo! Yesterday I did a workshop for a team of 100 people from a big Danish pharmaceutical company. Here is what they wrote afterwards:

Thank you for an amazingly inspiring day full of facts and specific suggestions for action. The workshop was incredibly energetic and the exercises were engaging. The participants have only had positive things to say and have already adopted the behaviors.

THAT’S the kind of impact we LOVE to make.

  • Our First International Conference on Happiness at Work was a HIT!

Last week we had our first ever International Conference about Happiness at Work.

We’ve done 7 previous events but they were all in Danish (mostly). This year we took the plunge and made the whole event international and in English and we’re so glad we did.

200 awesome participants from 19 countries came to Copenhagen to learn from some great experts, researchers and practitioners and by all accounts they had a GREAT time.

In the preliminary participant feedback, 95% give the conference the highest rating.

We’ve already released the first video from the conference – my talk on The Science of Happiness at Work. We’ll be releasing more talks over the next weeks – follow this blog or subscribe to our newsletter if you don’t want to miss them.

  • Using the Science of Happiness to Create Happier and More Successful Companies

Using the Science of Happiness to Create Happier and More Successful Companies

Happy workplaces are more profitable and innovative, attract the best employees and have lower absenteeism and employee turnover rates. Simply put, happy companies make more money.

But how do you create a happy workplace? Many companies try and fail because they focus on the wrong things.

Some of the best answers are found in the happiness science – a fascinating field with research going on all over the world.

In this talk from our 2017 International Conference on Happiness at Work I reveal the 5 most important findings from Positive Psychology and how they apply in the workplace.

We’ll be releasing more talks from the conference soon. Subscribe to our newsletter, if you don’t want to miss them.

  • What a day. What a lovely day.

Our first international conference on happiness at work is done and WHAT a day. 200 participants from 19 countries met in Copenhagen for a day full of talks by experts and representatives from some of the world’s happiest workplaces.

We will start releasing the videos from the day soon, but here’s a short video with some of our favorite photos from the day, all taken by our amazing photographer Gareth Garvey.

  • Client feedback
