  1. I like the newsletter. Its short, simple, has a practical tip that I can use at work and some general knowledge too (I had never heard of the sink hole in Guatemala before). Way to go!

    Thanks!

  2. Brilliant. Cheered me up this morning. It’s easy to browse, I’ve picked up a few activities I will definitely try, and I was fascinated by the sink hole. I work in a UK bank and we could certainly use a daily dose of happiness. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Good Day Alexander;

    Thanks for sharing this newsletter;
    I really like the format and the variety of stories.You are on an exciting journey and through this newsletter you are taking us along.

    I particularly enjoyed the update on your trip to Guatemala,
    and I think it’s brilliant how you connected the work of anthropologist, Clifford Geertz to explain why in different cultures happiness is valued so differently.

    I look forward to seeing how this intercultural dimension will be integrated further in your work.

  4. Since I’ve subscribed to your blog I receive every new article from you in my inbox anyway. Today’s newsletter contained a summary of those articles, so there was not really any “news” in there for me :)

    For people who do not subscribe to your blog it’s certainly helpful.
    For the others it would be nice to opt for either one as both seems to be double.

    Thank you,
    Anja

  5. Got it – really enjoyed it!

    Video of Zappo was great. I like the short tips.

    Changing our organizations won’t be done through a big bang, but rather by a steady dose of small chunks of common sense – and happiness!

  6. Finally found time to finish reading the first newsletter and let you know that I like the format. I don’t subscribe to the blog but check in every once in awhile to see what’s new here and like that you re-cap what you’ve recently been up to in the newsletter. The videos are great fun (though tricky for me to watch at the office) and can make my day at work a bit better =-)

    The tips are great for those making the workplace a happier place, but would you happen to have any tips on dealing with work burn-out? I’ve been keeping my eyes open for such advice but haven’t seen anything yet; even the book “The Artist at the Office” (by Summer Pierre) didn’t have much that I haven’t already done to make my situation easier to bear…but I did buy a copy of your book before the burn-out got in and it’s a GREAT book! Thank for offering the newsletter!
