Thinking of quitting? Watch this video first.

Are you considering quitting your job? Watch this video first.

In it I talk to the always awesome and funny Rowan Manahan, MD of Fortify Services in Dublin about quitting.

Some of the question we cover are:

  • How do you know it’s time to quit?
  • How should you quit?
  • Will quitting look bad on your CV?
  • Why is quitting a job so hard, even if it makes you unhappy?

Basically, we think that too many people stay way too long in jobs that are very, very bad for them.

A very enjoyable and thought-provoking exercise. Thank you.

There are many different threads in there that all warrant deeper thought, but as I was watching you guys, I was struck by the word career, and it hit me that perhaps we focus too much on our careers rather than our life. What is our ROI (return on investment) in life?

    Keep up the good work.

    Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I think some people worry about the unknown when it comes to quitting. We all get comfortable in our routines and as much as some people dislike their jobs, they still do nothing because of their fear.

I am so glad after watching this video that I am an entrepreneur because far too many people focus on their career and being stuck at the same job for over 10 years. I don’t think that is freedom by any means because they are not controlling their own destiny.
