   Hi – looks like the last two links point to the same URL. I was interested in reading the last one (half the good people may be leaving) but can’t find it anywhere – can you update it with the right URL? thanks!

   Sorry Tom. I fixed the link, but now the article is gone. I tried to google for it, but couldn’t locate it anywhere else.

   The internet archive doesn’t have it either…

   No problem – I actually found it in google’s cache a few days ago :) It seems to be gone from there now too though.

   It was definitely a good read – where I work we seem to go through waves of good (i.e. both dedicated and effective) people leaving. I stuck around through a few of them, because there always seemed to be something worthwhile to stay for, but I sense another one coming up in the near future. That article really summed up the situation well, except in our case it’s not so much pressure to work long hours as it is an obligation to be on call to fix any problems that come up, even if they were caused by other people on the team.
