Hi Alexander, Its more to do with the narrow tunnel minded leaders in organizations, for some ‘profit’ is their only priority and for some individual advancement on the hierarchy ladder is their priority.
Even though there is so much out there about ‘team spirit’, ‘qualities of good leaders’ etc, leaders rarely practice emphathy.
Actually, research shows that the No. 1 factor in successful change is active and visible executive sponsorship, and – not surprisingly – the No. 1 reason for change failure is ineffective change management sponsorship. So it is more that just the 3 factors you list – the executive also need to be involved – they cannot just expect to decree change and expect success. Happiness stems in part from a sense of belonging and and if people don’t feel part of of a team they won’t have the sense of belonging and successful change will remain elusive.
