2008 for me has been the best year ever. So much interesting stuff has been happening that to even start to summarise it here is almost meaningless. Suffice it to say, that 2008 seemed to zoom by because so many cool things were always going on but now that I look back on it, it seems like a loooong year indeed.
Here are just a few highlights:
- My book came out in Danish and is a best seller.
- My book is coming out in Chinese.
- I gave more presentations and workshops than ever!
- I had gigs in Ireland, England, The Bahamas, The US, France and many other cool places.
- I now work with two wonderful and very cool associates: Jon and Lea.
- I spoke at the best business conference ever: WorldBlu Live in New York.
- I proposed to my girlfriend. She said yes.
I have taken less time for blogging than I’d like and will prioritize it more in 2009! Blogging is seriously one of the most inspiring, productive, fun and useful things I do – particularly because so many nice people read along and take time to give feedback.
Now I’m off to some Christmas celebrations (yes, Christmas is on the 24th. in Denmark) and then on to a week of snowboarding in the French Alps. In the meantime, you might enjoy some of my previous favourite posts on the blog or maybe some of the quickly growing number of links in the happy at work link collection.
But most importantly: I wish you and your loved ones a very happy Christmas and a spectacular new year.

Tnx for your inspiration and tips.
Merry Christmas and a happy new Year.
And good luck with boarding (I’m going to the alps in January! )
Have a great 2009! I’m sure it’s going to be interesting!
Merry Christmas and happy new years!
Late reply, i know, better late then never.
I hope next year will bring you as much happiness as this, and more!
Happy New Year!
I like that you made a highlights list for 2008 with personal and professional successes…everyone should do that!
Congratulations on your many successes and especially your engagement! Here’s to a wonderful 2009!
I love your blog and it’s so inspiring to see someone be successful at what they love. I particularly liked your post on low rent living as I’m doing this myself right now in preparation for upcoming travel. However, I think it’s a great idea in general, especially during these crazy times. I just subscribed and am looking forward to upcoming posts!
I must place a formal complaint… I like your blog so much that I check several times a day to see if you have posted some new stuff… I guess you are too busy sipping on delicious french wine and having raclette in the Alps to think about us poor little bee workers :)
Pleaaaaase come back!!!
Hope you are having a great time!
Alexander, your blog has been such an inspiration that we’ve decided to change how the whole company works (40 people). What’s more, we really believe that we can achieve more your way than the old way.
It’s going to be such a journey that I’ve decided to blog what I’m learning as I go along.
What you say is music to my hear. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! I really feel that we all have an opportunity to see and act differently. Especially in times of recession and the idea that we are all doomed! (if we beleive the media). There is another way where we can maintain and grow our energy and love for what we are good at. Share the passion! I truly beleive that happiness has a lot to do with success. And you seem to be a proof of that:-) Keep posting! And a HAPPY New year to you all.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Congratulations on your many achievements during 2008 and I am hoping that you are having a great 2009.
