Great article and so true. Most employers nowadays forget completely about keeping their staff. They seem to want to make cuts all the time without thinking about the impact it has on their staff. As a leader I agree you need to get to know your people, grow their strengths help them get over any weakness and lead by example by rolling your sleeves up. So many employers would do well too follow your example and create an atmosphere for growth for their employees too.
